Howdy all:
I've done some searching, and I haven't been able to find o scale versions of the following streamlined locomotives:
CB&Q Aeolus
Frisco Lines Streamlined Pacific
NC&St.L City of Memphis
Anyone know if any good post-war manufacturers made these locomotives?
Thanks!
The Frisco Lines ran a streamline passenger train called the Firefly. Looks sort of like a Royal Blue with a white stripe lengthwise.
Nobody has done the Firefly in O, unfortuantely. The Royal Blue will not work because of the headlight position.
I'd love to have one! I'd like a 1500-class even more.
Glad to see other Frisco fans on here! My tastes in O gauge run toward clockwork Marx, but I had the same lament about a lack of Frisco rolling stock in prewar & postwar Marx. So beware... this is really crude... but it was the only way to get my Firefly fix on the windup Marx O gauge railroad:
Yes, that is a Marx Mercury in Frisco Firefly colors. My apologies to the rivet counters...

Here is a Prewar Flyer example that some refer to as an Aeolus; however, the Flyer catalog refers to it as a NYC type locomotive.
