MTH Ready to Run Catalog
Posted by Seayakbill on Thursday, February 16, 2012 9:38 AM

I received an e-mail from MTH that their Ready to Run Catalog is now available on their web site. Checked it out, they have added quite a lot of tin plate to the ready to run catalog. Didn't see anything that really jumped out at me except for a couple pieces of rolling stock.

The Westinghouse operating brakeman boxcar will be on my list, a great add-on to the Westinghouse Schnabel flatcar that was in the last catalog.

Also the smoking apple tank car from Wenatchee, Washington, apple capitol of the world. As a kid I picked many a bushel of apples for spending money in Eastern Washington so this is a must have. Load the apple pie scented smoke fluid and you have apple pies a baking in the oven, mmmm, mmm, good.

There is an O gauge Chessie System Trailer on Chessie System Flat car.

This will be the first time that Chessie System graphics will be applied to a mass produced O Gauge Trailer.

They are making RaiKing versions of the cars that Lionel produced for O gauge starter sets. The RailKing cars have die-cast metal trucks and ABS plastic bodies.

Also I see that MTH is offering a RailKing uncataloged Northern Pacific trailer in the NP Loewy paint scheme on a flatcar, that will be tempting.

Glad to see they are offering the earlier handheld unit again. We used to use these for the Kid's Club activities until they were dropped from the product line and all of ours bit the dust. The bad part is they are not listed as an individual item, you have to buy the handheld with the receiver which we still have available. I assume they operate on the same parameters as the earlier models.
