Hey All,
This is part two of my layout progress. Although today was supposed to be background scenary, instead i got this beautiful MTH 2 track steel arch bridge utilizing Lionel Fastrack. Also started a trackplan for the layout. Enjoy!!
It's been a great day; but it's only just the beginning. Stay tuned for part 3. To be continued.........
Looking good Kevin,

The MTH station is very close in appearance to the former WESTERN MARYLAND depot at Union Bridge, MD. I've seen some nice one's that folks have superdetailed.
Looks like you are making progress in a short time Kevin.

Curious ... what are you using as the grasslike background material??
srguy,
It is a scenic backdrop that can be purchased by Scenic Express. They have a wide varieties of background scenary from Mountains which is what you saw, to City scenes etc... Here is the link:

Not sure were you live; but the delivery was very fast. No more than two to three days. Hope this helps. Have fun!!

Thanks so much Bill. I've been trying. This is the most that i've been able to accomplish in three years of trying. Time and money always seem to be the road block; but it's under way now. Waiting for my second job to start back up as the funds are now depleted. Until then i have some things that i am going to barter with to get other items till then. Stay tuned.
I checked scenic express but didn't see the product. I wasn't referring to the backdrop but rather the surface of your train board. Is it painted or something else??
Sorry about that, guess i miss understood you. It is a grass mat from Woodland Scenics. Although Scenic Express has grass mats that are almost if not the same thing as what you see on my layout. Here is the link for this company. Hope this helps.

Got it ... thanks Jim
Inspirational, Kevin! Can you tell me a bit more about the photo backdrop behind the station? Are the clouds / sky wallpaper?

cnw1995,
Thanks for the comment. The bakdrop is actually corrugated cardboard that is manufactured by a company called Corobuff. It is actually nothing more than corrugated cardboard paper roll with cloud designs on it. There is a website called Pacon. Here is the link www.pacon.com
It's under the paper products tab; however it seems they only sell it in a 4 carton... alittle too much. If you have a school/stationary supply store called US Toys out by you it says that they may have it. I am going to see if they do as there is one close to me. Tahnks again for the comment, and stay tuned for more.
