Question regarding the 486-4 base plate pickup. After installing the two on the train,
the train derails on turns. I took a closer look at my orignal base plate & the new one and
noticed that the "collector assembly #485-26" on the new one is ever so slightly
thicker than the orignal. Because of this, the roller can not retract up as far as the
orignal therefor putting pressure on the middle rail and lifting the wheels of the train on turns
and coming off the track. Has anyone heard of this and/or had success with replacement base
plate pickups? Any solutions?
