Fleischmann Trains from the 50s
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, August 18, 2004 9:03 PM
I have inherited two large footlockers filled with Fleischmann locomotives, cars, track, houses and other equipment and layout items. They were purchased in Germany sometime between 1957-58, used briefly then stored inside.

Anyone have advice on sources of information on valuing the collection for sale?

Thanks.

This is the HO collectors page http://www.getnet.com/~dickg/nmra/sigs/HOSCHS/HOSCHS.html they might be able to help. In general HO is not that collectible.

I started with Fleischmann in 1955-1957 as a kid living in Germany with my father who was in the army. Unfortuantely they didn't survive long after my brothers and I figured out to have collesions. But they were fun and my first introduction to trains.
Enjoy
