Inexpensive, spray, close match for Lionel Accessory Green
Posted by NYC20 on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 1:18 AM

Today I came across an enamel spray that is very close to the bright green that Lionel used for many of the postwar accessories (e.g. 153 Block Signal base).  It is made by Rustoleum, an engine enamel No. 248951, "Grabber Green".

This probably would not satisfy anyone looking for a perfect match for that exquisite restoration, but it's closer to that Lionel accessory green than I ever expected to find in an inexpensive, stock spray.

That's a Ford OEM paint color.

I have found Plasti-Kote "Odds'n'Ends" brand of spray paint at WallyWorld to have a a color called

"Garden Green" with a stock #104S. It is so close to the original it hard to tell it apart!

Thanks, Butleryard. IF YOU CAN READ THIS, THANK A TEACHER! IF YOU ARE READING THIS IN ENGLISH, THANK A SOLDIER!
