Hi folks!

I've been a scale model railroader since my teen years (late '70's - early '80's) starting in HO and then in On30 around 2001. Got burned out on model trains around 2005, but got into postwar O-27 trains about three years ago. I'm working on a small (39" x 80") layout where I run a mix of Lionel and Marx equipment, generally Lionel freight cars, a '46 Lionel 2020 (w/ smoke bulb), a Marx 999, 666 and 1666. Lately I have become infatuated with Marx tin trains. Now also working on a small portable 30" x 48" Marx inspired tinplate layout.

Looking forward to being on this forum. Hope there's room for someone with Marxist leanings!  Laugh

Welcome Handyandy, lots of folks with the Marx bug on this forum. You will find a lot of info sharing and helpful hints here. If possible post some pictures of your layout progress.

Welcome  handyandy

Beware of Marx units on Lionel switches. In some cases they do not agree.

Thanks. My 666 and 1666 run through my Lionel and K-Line switches just fine. The little layout has metal Marx manual switches so no issues there.
