Train Layout in progress
Posted by KEVINK22 on Sunday, January 29, 2012 11:13 AM

Hi All,

I had said in one of my last posts that i would try and figure out how to go about posting photos to the forum. So here is my first attempt.

Not much as of yet; but it's a start. This coming weekend i hope to have the other wall with some clouds put up, and also some scenary backgrounds that i got from Scenic Express installed on both of the walls too. I will post pictures so you can all see. That's all for now.

Every layout has a starting point that will lead to many hours of enjoyment and also some frustration. Wiring has always been my pain in the neck. Good luck on your adventure.

Kevin,

 Looking good!

Where did you get the clouds and what are they made of?  am looking for some sort of backdrop for my table.

Aaahh, the blank slate!  Don't you just love that moment when the dreams and anticipation start coming together?  Big Smile

Hey Kev,

I got that at Nicholas Smith in Broomal, Pa. I think it is actually from the same company that makes the brick paper that you might have seen in some hobby shops or i think even Lowes. It is i beleive corrigated cardboard paper of sorts. Lightweight and really easy to cut. On the back it has guide lines so you get a straight line everytime. Hope this helps.

Hey Becky,

Yes the blank slate it surely is; but the anticipation of what will be is something that i have been looking forward to for the past three years. It is all finally starting to slowly come together. I plan on having it last as long as i can. Stay tuned...
