Any hints or tips on the best way to paint a plastic shell like on these trolleys?

I thought of that.    I suppose that will be my fallback position.

Lionel Bump-n-Go Trolley
Posted by stax57 on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 12:09 PM

I have created a SuperStreets layout depicting a trolley line through a residential area.  Due to space constraints, I had to use 16" diameter curves.  The only trolley that will run on this pike is the ubiquitous Lionel Christmas village trolley.  MTH's bump-n-go trolley has too long of a wheelbase to reliably negotiate the curves.  My problem is that I don't want to run either the Christmas trolley or the Coca-Cola variant.  My search on-line for the City Traction model or other livery has proved fruitless.    Do any of you have one of these to sell or have another suggestion for my dilemma?  Thanks!
