MTH Non Proto 1 to MTH Proto 1 conversion

Hello,

 I recently got gaffled on Ebay for a SD 60 locomotive with Proto sound one.  The listing claimed it had Proto 1 but it didn't.  It was brand new and very cheap so I kept it.  I have a Proto 1  FA Alco I don't like and want to put the Proto 1 into the SD 60.  Does anyone know if this would be a hard conversion or are all of the wires colored the same and it's just a matter of interchanging it and connecting to the same color wires.
