Well, the GG1 is in my glass display case in our dining room, and my other favorites are on a display shelf in our family room. I'll probably set them up in my bedroom soon (mid-term exams this week, no time for awhile) when I can't stand not having any set up. That layout was on the floor of our dining-room/living room/piano room (we have a very open floor plan thanks to some past owners of the house, there aren't any walls dividing those rooms) in the middle of a high traffic area of the house, so it really couldn't stay. I just wanted to do the video and run them for awhile before I had to drag all the boxes out.
Here's an updated version of the video. I rewatched the one I originally posted and realized I missed out on a few things in my editing.

Sorry to hear that you have to put those beautiful trains away.
My floor level layout is year round (so far).

Thanks.
Yes, that floor layout came down today. I set it up while I still had all my trains out from the Christmas season and because I wanted to run the GG1. I'm still packing everything and trying to lower the number of plastic tubs I use since they're so big and I'm running out of room.
I still haven't gotten a permanent layout built yet :D One of these days.
Nice to see someone else with a floor level layout.
Good music too!
And thanks for showing us conventional operators what the modern era is like!
i like that gg1 very cool
A video I put together today from some new clips and some old. Mainly to showcase my new Lionel JLC GG1, but my Mikado JR got in there too.
Enjoy
