Here's is how I made the HO and N tracks the are located IN the Christmas tree. For the HO layout I made a ring out of 5/8" particle board. The ring is supported in the tree at three points. Three wood dowels that project out horizontally from the tree tunk. The three dowels are suported by three thin steel wires wires that are attached higher in the tree trunk and are then attached near the outer ends of the dowels. The tips of the three dowels then hold up the ring. The N gauge track is made in the same way except that the ring is made from1/4" plywood.

Dave.........every time I think your creativity has been maxed out you pull another one out of your hat.  Last year's Christmas layout was stellar, and now this!  How did you suspend the track on the upper levels and get them so level?  Thank you for sharing the video.

What are the other scales you run inside the tree? I remember you showing some nice pics before?

Thanks again,

Ray

Ray, here is a video of the "other" scale trains.

Very nice video, as we all have come to expect. There's a few accessories on that layout I hope to obtain in the coming year. I did miss the piano music background this year though.

Thank you for sharing,

Very nice Christmas layout video, thanks for sharing. Hopefully no breakables in those christmas packages that were in the dump cars.

Thanks Dave, I was wondering what was taking so long and it was well worth the wait. Look for it every year. Marx sure did make some nice toy trains. I gave my daughter a Marx set this year.

Here is a video of my Marx tinplate trains running under the Christmas Tree. I finally disassembled the layout on January 12. Now I'm thinking about what to do different next year.
