I have had a couple locos take the 4 foot plunge to the concrete floor, not a pretty sight.

Thanks for the info. I will have to keep looking. It happened while I was at work.
Had shell off doing some motor cleaning. It was on a shelf that should have been safe and one that I used constantly when I do maintenance.
One of my daughters friends picked up the shell to look at it and set it on the floor, unfortunately near
the gas fireplace heat register!! By the time I found it last night, the damage was done.
Anyone else have any stories of "accidents"?
Finding just the shell for a PW EP-5 is really a tough search. Sure don't see just the shell unless it is in pristine condition and the seller wants an arm & leg for it. Probably at the giant train meets like York would be your best chance. Good Luck in your search.
I had my 2350 new haven shell warp-too close to the fireplace. Anyone know where I can get a replacement shell-it is the decal nose version-most common-
Thanks much
