Occasionally I will see multiples of them in one auction on Ebay. In 2020 someone listed a bunch of them with grey trays which I've never seen before. Anyone know what sets the grey tray 9330's came in? I wonder if Lionel still has the 9330 tooling?

I've got some of those and also the different colored gondolas.  As I mentioned in another thread, I like hooking them up with the small diesel Crayola engine.  They look good together, plus an impressively long train can be made without making the engine strain.  I've yet to get a bobber caboose though.  Instead I've been using the Crayola caboose since it matches the engine.

I have 21 of these 4 wheel side dump cars now. 2 green, 5 yellow and the rest are red. I really like them. The gondola's aren't as great looking but the caboose's are cute. There looks like a lot of variations of the caboose's. One car I found on Ebay has the frame of a gondola so it basically looks like a flat car but has a long grey tool chest on one side, stake sides on the other side and a large wooden barrel with a loop hook on top. Anyone have any idea what set it was from? I think I like these cars better than the modern flashy freight cars. I'll put up a video on YouTube.

The half size coal dump car has 4 plastic wheels, was un-numbered, and came in red, yellow and green bin colors. They came in the #1280 Kickapoo Valley set in 1972, and the #1965 Smokey Mountain set in 1979, and were part of Lionels' most inexpensive sets of the modern era.

I bought it on ebay and just opened it 10 minutes ago. Its a cute little dump car that will look good behind my K-line Porter. I had never seen one of these before. How common are they? What colors do they come in and in what numbers? What sets did they come in? Mine is a black body with a red hopper and non operating couplers. I would like to find more of them.
