Well this is my first attempt for the removable pond. As I said I wanted something that could be moved if the layout changes. I know you have to sacrifice to do this but I thought I would give it a try. Everything is just lying on top of the ReadyGrass. I am using some LEMAX Ocean Display Mat with mosey edging. Please give you suggestions or advice. What do you think? Tks, Kev

Only thing I see missing is a flat bottom rowboat with a couple of kids in it fishing

that will work
Looks right to me! Fits in very well with the surrounding scenery, which is what's most important! But if you're looking for ideas, how about a tree with a tire swing?
Becky
Trains, trains, wonderful trains. The more you get, the more you toot!
Thanks Becky, That is a great idea. I will need to find some scale tires and I will make the tree. It is after all the BM railroad. Budget Model. Railroad.

Kev,
Sure glad you "clarafied" the meaning of "BM railroad".

Looking good, maybe a small fishing dock in front of the log cabin.

It looks great. If you wanted to add a bit of whimsy to it here's an idea: buy a small plastic shark, cut half its body off and stick on the pond as if it is jumping out. You could even make your own Jaws scene. I suppose you could buy a Lochness monster as well.
Joe
Great work KEV. Especially with the NS [the only real RR] in the background.

ChiefEagles Great work KEV. Especially with the NS [the only real RR] in the background. Hey Chief, RT has the same engine whole set with the cars from 1992 on e-bay it is a great engine and would be a great set. Wifey made me back off buying it because she wants the fishing figures. Kev

You mean this set Kev
I'm still thinking of keeping it and putting TMCC in it with RAILSOUNDS as it would be a great Engine to do that to with dual motors yes!
Anyway having putor problems may have to be looking for a new one. Which really isn't in the budget but we will see. Talk to my brother who is a computer tech or what ever you call them now ( actually both brothers are one is retired but always talks at like 4 year collage level and above and expects you who knows nothing about that stuff to under stand ) and then theres the other brother who I'm talking to who will break it down to you in layman's terms lol thats me.
will see I'm still able to get this up and running anyway
Yeah that is it all right RT. Finished working on the pond today till the figures show up. Had to find a way to hook it up with Moma’s Menard Mill ( she just had to have ) so I just added a small stream going into a marsh that is emptying into the pond. Guess it will work, When I get the rest of the stuff I will update. Anyone know where I can get a scale tire for the tire swing? Starting to work on the Hobo site next. I ordered all of the figures today. Thanks, Kev.

Check the faucet! Small rubber washers and O-rings make excellent model tires! I use them in piles near gas stations, but I've also painted some white with red stripes to hang on my ships as life savers!
Great idea Becky,
I have a lot of washers.
Best be gettin' some girder plate bridging over that creek bed or the insurance company will drop ya...

Yeah I am thinking you right not not sure what to use. Any ideas?
All depends. Are you ready to whip out the jigsaw? Or go the other way and raise your track a little? Btw, liked your pics on SPF.

Jijsaw!!!!!!! OH NO not that!!! Got to keep it flexible. I am thinking of some sort of a buried box culvert. The Woodland Scenics Family Fishing is on the way with the boat and pier. Kev

Then do as the real railroad would and add a "fill" with a culvert. About a 1" rise should give you enough to work with.
fifedog, How is this? Ins approved sunken box culvert. Cost of construction 0$ time to construct 1 hr. Marsh weeds have already grown up to the top of box. Tks, Kev.
