I have a refurbished AF Prewar UP City of Denver Streamliner. Does anyone have an idea what this may be worth?

You need to qualify the word "refurbished"

Is that repainted, restored, or what?  if repainted or restored, what is the quality of the restoration/paint job?

There is currently a restored UP City of Denver set listed on ebay under American Flyer O gauge.  I suggest you watch that auction and compare the quality of that set to your set.

I have seen very nice restorations bring better prices than unrestored junkers, but a poor quality restoration would not likely bring a good price.

[I have seen them at the York TCA show from about $350.00 to $700.00.   Some of the nicer ones were cheaper than the train sets in poorer condition.  I got mine for $300.00 about 6 years ago.  Here is a picture on my Christmas train garden.[View:http://cs.trains.com/TRCCS/themes/trc/utility/:550:0]

Thanks for responding. You see, I'm new at this. This "refurbishing" was done professionally. It had some rust on the wheels and body. They stripped it down, repainted inside and out, replaced some parts, and completely restored it to it's original condition. It looks brand new. I paid $425 for this work. I did see the UP listed on eBay, but the bids are all low at this point, not near what it may go for.

I would have to agree with Major in his price estimate of $300 to $700 for a nicely restored set.  I think the top prices I have seen for a restored set are around the $700 mark.

I guess one other thing to consider is what version you have.  The 1936 version had a whistle car and the whistle car adds to the value, providing all whistle parts are present and it works.  Additionally, the later sets from 1938-1939 had an extra car, which would add to the value.

The one below is my original 1936 set with whistle car.  The later sets feature a lighter yellow paint color.
