Need GG1 help..

Need some guidance on GG1 #2332 Pennsylvania passenger set...

 

                                                  I have the new GG1 passenger set and I am unsure as to how the horn is supposed to sound on my GG1. The engine runs on Fastrack powered by a 50's(?) era ZW transformer with the Whistle/direction button utilized to actuate the horn. When activated the horn sounds three slow short horn bursts while holding the button down. Is this correct?  I know I need to get a separate sound activation button to activate the bell, should I get two and operate both on external buttons? I don't want to damage the railsounds in the unit and the manual isnt very clear on transformer compatibility...
