Check out Kadar Holdings of Hong Kong, a major train manufacture that ended up with the K-Line tooling through their acquisitions. As stated previously Kadar Holdings has either sold or leased some K-Line tooling to other electric train companies but has also kept a lot of the tooling in their inventory for their subsideraries such as Williams by Bachmann.

K-Line no longer exists, and their tooling has been "shared" among several different manufacturers. When K-Line went belly-up, they owed a big chunk of change to their manufacturing partner in China, Sanda Kan.
Sanda Kan also produced trains for Atlas-O, Williams, Weaver, and Lionel. When K-Line went south, Lionel offered to market K-Line in their own catalogs for a short period of time so that Sanda Kan wouldn't be left holding the bag of a K-Line bankruptcy.
That agreement is now over. So... you'll now see K-Line tools being used to manufacture RMT, Williams by Bachmann, and Lionel. But so far, most has been used by Williams by Bachmann and RMT.
Hope this helps.
