An operating session happens at least once a month. However, I'm usually in the train room once or twice a week doing a repair or improving something on the layout.

To expand on my previous post:

THIS week my 4 year old grandson is staying with us so we are running them every day

Ya know, I probably have no excuse!  Laugh  Seeing as how there's a layout on my bedroom floor year round!  Laugh  But sad to say, most times it goes weeks on end without being run!  Tongue Tied  Of course, it is just a pair of ovals.  But still....

I would like to run them everyday. Smile But since I decided to do a 'quick' realignment of the track in February, the layout has been out of commission (yes still). I have the realignment done, but during the realignment I started build a bridge for one area and that isn't done yet.

Once the bridge is done and the mountain is sceniced behind it, I'll be back to running again! Hopefully by year's end. Then it will be at least once per week - gotta get Christina aclimated to the running trains!

Just about every night after work, Laz. Trains are the perfect mental aspirin after a day at the office.

Weekends with bad weather also see trains running on my pike.

They especially catch Hell this time of year (Christmas Season) because its a tradition with many of my friend's families with kids to "visit the trains" this time of year.

There's no average for me..as I am retired. Sometimes I prefer to do projects that have to do with the layout and that is a few days a week. Some weeks, a couple of days in a row..some weeks not at all.

Nothing is more fairly distributed than common sense: no one thinks he needs more of it than he already has.

Every day, normally.  Fortunately, I'm retired, so work isn't a factor.

Before we moved and I had to tear down the layout, I would run them a few days a week.  The layout was in the garage so the weather was also a factor.  We just moved into our house a month ago and we don't have a layout yet.  However, the Christmas loop is up and I run it daily.

I seldom run them unless the grandchildren are visiting.

For me, the joy is building.  From my perspective the question is like asking a painter how often he sits and admires his paintings.

LAZ..... I have not run the trains(in the basement), since August. I think I will try the steps this weekend. Normally, I run them about once a week.

Just about every day LAZ,

But I am still in the building stage so I am down in the basement doing that as well.

I run mine almost daily.  After getting off from work and after dinner I run them for about an hour.  Great way to unwind.  On about two week ends a month I am over at my sons place and we work on his layout.   When I am not running trains I am building, repairing or restoring something train related.

The grandsons are over a couple times a week so I usually con one of them into giving up their electronic gizmos and to head down into the basement to run some trains. As they get older it is getting tougher to talk them into running the trains. In the mornings I will run the trains a couple times a week, so throughout the week at least 4 times.

Usually on laundry days (washer/dryer across from layout).  I turn them on if nothing else just to charge up the MTH 2.0 batteries.

How many times a week do you run trains?

Just wondering, how many times a week do YUZ GUYZ run your trains?  I run them usually on Friday nite and Saturday nite for about 2hrs.  Hopefully without any PILE UPs.
