If you are talking about the Williams by Bachmann traditional tubular track, it is pretty much the same as Lionel's traditional tubular track. This isn't a new product, Jerry Williams began offering the traditional stuff in at least 2002.
If you are talking about the Williams by Bachmann track with the plastic roadbed, it is quite another thing.
Both the transformer and track from the Williams outfits are to be found in the Atlas O Industrial Rail line.
I've reviewed two Williams by Bachmann sets with the track and at least one Atlas O set with the track. The connecting system is totally unlike the Lionel system (either traditional tubular or FasTrack) and is more akin to GarGraves.
You might want to check out the Williams Starter set video uploaded for the January issue. These three starter set videos (Lionel, MTH/Lionel Tinplate, and Williams) are open to registered users.

From what I have heard about the new Williams track, everything is similar to Lionel track in heigth and size, sort of like K-Line track made a few years back. Lionel track should hookup with Williams the same way as two sections of Lionel track does. Williams does not sell switches as yet.

Anyone using Williams by Bachman 3-Rail Track? Their catalog has no details and my searches have not found any reviews.
How is the metal and build quality?
Are the 0-27 and 0-31 the same profile (height)?
What about switches, are Lionel and others compatible?
Thank you!
