Where to look?
Posted by traindaddy1 on Saturday, December 3, 2011 8:22 AM

We came across a box of Williams used parts:  trucks, car shells, passenger car ends, name plates etc.     Some are good, some are not-so-good.

Where would you suggest that we look to see what the "going rate" would be if we were to buy some of these parts on the retail market?  Most have no numbers so we would have to go by the descriptions.

So far:     Went to Williams-Bachmann.   No assistance.     Checked E-Bay.  No specific listings.   LHS only does repairs on Lionel. Had no idea.

As always, many thanks.

Hes stated local hobby shop only does lionel.

I think if your looking to resell it depends what you have and theres always someone looking for something on Bachmann forum for williams trains but its like a wait and see thing now you may check and talk with marty of the www.mapajunction.com theres another guy hes in PA. that sells williams parts and actually either might be interested in the box of parts you came across  you would probably have to get good pics and all for them to see.

rtraincollector:     Thanks, so much.  Going to take another look and sort-of inventory the stuff before I call.  You've been a great help.  Thanks, again.
