Thanks, Bruce and Bill T. Here are a couple shots of the inside of the control panel. It was fun to make and works nicely. Kev.

Nothing is more fairly distributed than common sense: no one thinks he needs more of it than he already has.
Looking pretty darn nice, neat control panel. You can never have enough sidings.

It is vinal backed grass somewhat better than paper and Yes ballast and texture are in the plans as the $ comes.
Tks,
Black Diamond Kev, I am in the midst of planning my layout tables...pretty much its the basic L shape theat you have there. I am curious what are the table dimension sizes? dont have to be exact. I have a 12 x 32 ft rectangle building and i am trying to figrue the best way to layout the bechwork inside the building.

Black Diamond,
Mine is 16x12. The left side is two 4x8 sheets =16' run you could go with 4 of them in a 32' run. The right is two 4x8 sheets with a 2'x5' cutout so I can reach everything....but I can walk wround on the far right side of the table and you will not be able to if your room is only 12' wide. It was easy because I used full sheets of plywood and studs.
Hope this helps. And Have Fun.
--Black Diamond-- One thing about a train, it doesnt matter where it's going, You just have to decide to get on... Woo Wooo.....
That is looking very nice!
Very nice use of space, Looking good
It is looking great. The trim is a very nice touch.
Slow and steady wins the race,

looking good a lot father than I'm at this point. lol I'm presently starting to work on a new shelf layout it was standard gauge but the engine started messing up so I gave up on that as the engine is 80 years old. Its for the time being just going to be on a shelf in front of my desk. Will replace the above mentioned with 2 lines of O gauge track.
I'm using on the shelf layout anyway some green indoor/outdoor carpet and I like it to the point I think if I ever get around to building a layout ( hope to do a 14' X 16' ) that I will use that for that also.
Life's hard, even harder if your stupid John Wayne

Well here is my update.
I finally got around to some ground cover.
Yesterday I pulled all of the trains off. Then I pulled the entire track off. Did the grass mat, then reinstalled the track and wiring.
Today, did the edge trim on the table and put some trains back on the tracks. Next will be all the trimmings.
Slow but sure.
