and you can easily change the layout if it is not screwed down. Personally, I like to take over the entire living room or family room for a Christmas layout. I have enough tubular track to take over the whole house, but so far haven't successfully negotiated this.
servoguy I think you will spend more time pulling the board out than you would assembling the Fastrack. Fastrack goes together very fast.

Especially if you only separate it into a couple of big sections. You can take the standard train set oval, break it into two sections, and lean them against the wall in the back of the closet.
Thanks for those suggestions but I want to attach it to the board as then each year I can just pull the board out and lay it down and start putting up the tree.
I use Fastrack on my basement layout, including 7 switches, and I don't have the track attached.
Heck, if you get right down to it, you don't even need the board.
You don't need to attach it to the board with anything. FasTrack track will stay in place just fine.

Thank you very much. I think I have some of those here.
Welcome occsid1,
Use #4 3/4 or 1 inch self-tapping screws. Sometimes you have to drill out the pre-molded screw holes in the Fastrack with a 1/8 inch bit.

New here but I have a quick question. My mom wanted a train around the tree this year so got the Santa Flyer for under the tree. I have a plywood sheet to attach the fastrack to, what is the best way to secure it to the board? Thanks in advance for the help
