Train Meet in Orlando
Posted by balidas on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 9:54 AM

Just got this from the Super O group;

For all of you Disney or Harry Potter fans or other tourists who will be in Florida this month, the Southern Division of the TCA is hosting a train meet in the Orlando area.

This meet will be held on Saturday, November 21st in the Family Life Center at the FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH of MAITLAND. Maitland is a suburb of Orlando located just a few miles northeast. The Church is located at 341 N. Orlando Avenue (this road is more commonly known as Highway 17/92) in Maitland. The meet opens at 9:00 AM for TCA members only and will be open to the public from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Train collectors from all over Florida will be there with trains and door prizes will be drawn throughout the meet.

Admission for non-Southern Division members is $5.00 per adult and children under 12 yrs old are free with paid Adult. There is plenty of free parking. Tables are still available for TCA members.

Directions to the Meet Hall from I-4:
Follow I-4 to Maitland Boulevard (exit 90). Take Maitland Boulevard East and follow past Maitland Avenue. Turn right onto new ramp leading down to 17 South/92 West. Turn right onto 17/92 (Orlando Ave.) and follow 0.6 miles to Church on right.

For Info on the Meet or Table Rental, contact Arnie Travitsky at 407-260-8599.
