Wegman's Lionel Set
Posted by krapug1 on Monday, October 31, 2011 9:36 AM

For this year, Wegman's Supermarkets are featuring a special Wegman's themed Lionel set.

A picture of the set is below.

Wegman's is a Rochester based company, that is still owned and managed by the Wegman family.

The stores themselves are huge, and are viewed by many as a community anchor.

How much are they selling their Lionel sets for?

One thing about trains: It doesn't matter where they’re going. What matters is deciding to get on.

$180 sounds like a pretty good price for the limited edition set. I see Menards has reduced their limited edition set by $30 plus free shipping for internet orders.

Heres the reply they gave me

Dear Mr. Rifenbury,

We received your e-mail asking if it is possible to order a Wegmans Lionel Train.  We do not offer mail order but do have one store that would be willing to send a train to a customer if they are willing to pay the cost of the item plus shipping and handling.

If this is something you are interested in doing, please respond to this email as I would be willing to forward your information to that store.  However, in order to process the transaction, we would need your telephone number so the store can contact you directly for credit card information.

Thank you for taking the time to share your request with us and allowing us the opportunity to respond.

Sincerely,

Barb Figenscher
