I'd probably consider something like a segmented insulated center rail on the track. If you have the right speed, you can get it to cycle the E-unit twice and reverse itself. Failing that, I'd probably cook up a simple circuit to reverse it.
I'm assuming this is a conventional locomotive and you don't want to modify it?
I'm not very familiar with O gauge, 3 rail. I have MTH Doodlebug in O gauge I would like to run behind my 16' foot layout point to point in a controled manner, Anyone have any ideas how I can do this. I know the trollies have this capability. Is there any after market switches / trips that would work without have to manually throwing a switch. Thank You for any help.
