thankey,
Somehow, this imbecile got a hold of the forum member list. This is a phishing scam!DO NOT REPLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!When, you reply the jerk can lock in on your computer and gain access to your computer memory, etc., by a line continuity conection.
I have not been contacted through this forum, from jerky, but through my E-Mail address.
CAREFULLSSSSS!!!

It is kind of pathetic that they think the old "Help me get my money out of the country" (or Russian brides, or I need to invest money in a business ..." ploy will still work in this day and age. I guess it just takes one in 150,000 to pay off.
Exactly. I know it's the same old rhetorical question but, how dumb do you have to be? Or maybe it's how greedy do you have to be.
Becky
Trains, trains, wonderful trains. The more you get, the more you toot!
Train-O ...When, you reply the jerk can lock in on your computer and gain access to your computer memory, etc., by a line continuity conection. Ralph

A line continuity connection? Is that like a trans-cognitive process?
Actually, replying to the email doesn't offer them any special access. They're just trying to get you to do something stupid, like give them money or your bank account numbers.
Yeah, Dennis,
Jokingly-It's like communicating with extra-terestrials.
Well, it sort of avails the miscreants some access. Some, people fall for it and give out all sorts of info., as gunrunnerjohn states. and the point Becky makes is, some people are GREEDY!
Greed is the motivating factor of both parties involved!
Yup, get something for nothing!
The one I like is it says it from the FBI and this is a perfect legal and legitimate offer
Life's hard, even harder if your stupid John Wayne

On the serious side, if I may.....This is one of several "Nigerian Scams" that have been sent to unsuspecting E-mail receipients for well over fifteen years. Usually, they are purported to be sent by a high-ranking government official or by an attorney representing a deceased person. Sometimes, the writer requests one's assistance because his legal status is in jeopardy and he is unable to transfer funds directly himself. Bottom line, it is a "fishing" expedition for your personal information and eventually your financial assistance.
Two caveats: "You never get anything for nothing"....."If is sounds too good to be true it is not"
Best thing is to not even open the E-mail and delete it.
NOW, back to the trains!
Watch out for UPS notices, it seems the dummy notices come when I'm actually expecting something delivered by UPS.
The bogus notice states from 'UPS MAIL,' some of the miscreants must confuse UPS and USPO, also the tracking number contains the wrong 'Prefix Letters' and the incorrect number of 'Characters,' to be from UPS.
Both the merchant and carrier will notify when the item will approximately arrive.
