Steve,

Try this link for some additional info.

http://www.lionellines.com/displays.html

Both layouts have their advantages but I like the D-265 for the variety and over and under loop. I like the D-148 for the two good sized loops for just running trains, plus the mountain loop is not just a circle. I have worked with a team to build versions of both and they are fun layouts for traditional sized O trains (just my view).

Good luck and let us know how it works out.

Regards, Roy

I just finished building my table which is 8' x 8'. I am thinking of either doing a D-265 layout or a D-148 layout. I have the book "Lionel Display Layouts You Can Build" and there is a good plan view and picture of the D-265, In the beginning of the book there are a few pics of the D-148 but no plan view or close up pics. I have searched online for info on the D-148 and found a nice video on youtube, but not too many pics. im looking for as many pics as possible of the layout if anyone could help, also opinions on the two layouts pros and cons which layout do you prefer.

Thanks,

Steve
