Oven cleaner and let it "cook" overnight in a plastic bag.  Take it out using rubber gloves and use a small brush to brush off the loose paint, I use a toothbrush.  I've stripped a couple of steam locomotives that way, does an excellent job.

Inspired by the "Paint Removal" post, how about removing paint from aluminum? 

Am working on the Baggage Car (my previous posts).     As always, many thanks.
