It is exactly that as Sir James said, from a Sears set, I have one, was looking for the year, good to find out it was from 1971 - it is from train set # 97101, E314, tender and caboose are a Nickel Plate Road series. It came in a plain brown cardborad box with a styrofoam insert.

Not much to tell here,

Made as an 0-4-0 and as a 2-4-0....1971... Greenburg  book says it might have been part of a Sears set.

i just picked one of these at a farmers market for 8 bucks.....its its a good lube job..and ill see if it runs or not....its an 0-4-0? can anyone tell me about this engine?
