Wednesday play time. Layout Update:
Posted by KRM on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 1:51 PM

Well I have ordered my ground cover material so it is time to disassemble the track so I can install the ground cover.

I have been testing this layout for several months and I think it will be fine. Smallest radius curve is 034 Marx, widest is Lionel 054.

Anyway I thought I should run some of my stuff that has been on the wall for years.

Thought you may like to see it.

Tks.

Kevin

It looks like you're off to a real good start. Is the table U shaped, or does it go all the way around?

I really like the Wm Crooks set

Thanks,

It is L shaped   4'x16' on the left and 8'x8' on the right with a 2'x5' notch cut out for access.

Looks like a good layout to run a variety of consists in and out of the yard. I could not tell from the photographs if the yard has a run around track and \or crossovers. I m glad to hear that there is someone else who runs a layout prior to tacking everything down..it saved me some redoing that would have been tougher after the fact. That Wm Crooks looks good to go..!.

Nothing is more fairly distributed than common sense: no one thinks he needs more of it than he already has.

Kevin,

Nice start! I also have the Marx Wells Fargo set which was given to me before Becky was born! However, my set, I believe has only two cars. I assume you picked one up somewhere? What numbers are on them.

Keep us updated please!

Yeah, My dad got an extra car way back then.

Cars are #1,#1,& #3

I never realized how cool all of the things that he did were.

Growing up next to the EJ&E tracks in Plainfield IL. Was better than I ever thought.

Tks,

Kev
