Greenberg pricing is on the high side, typically a cataloged item will sell for a lower price on E-Bay.

Your part number is off.   6-18045 is the correct number.  The price sounds like a good deal - Greenberg's price guide has it for $678.00 (Mint condition).  I really pays to invest a couple of bucks on the price guide; it has saved me quite alot of cash.  Too many pople out there plead ignorance and over price their stuff - or are really trying to get over on you.Cool

With all the new bells & whistles on the new Legacy steamers the Vanderbilt and similar steamers have been on a downward spiral. A fair purchase price is what you want to spend, you could check E-Bay and see if any are on the site and what the bidding is going for.

Hi.  I have come across a very clean Lionel Commodore Vanderbilt, the light gray model which I believe is from 1996.  Would anyone want to hazard a guess as to a fair purchase price for this model?  It's full scale, Pullmor motor, magnatraction,  TMCC, Railsounds, etc.
