How can I get a Lionel/MTH tinplate catalog ?  My local dealer says "Contact MTH,"  They say download catalog and print it.  VERY unsatisfactory to me.  I'll be happy to purchase it ........buit WHERE ?  All ideas appreciated.

I see them here and there on Ebay.   I used to get them for free from my LHS but since it changed from Tinplate Traditions to Lionel Corp. Tinplate they haven't had them at all.  Sigh

My son and law was with me today at the local shop in Oberlin Ohio.  When we got home he showed me the catologs he picked up.  The one is 2011 MTH  Ready to Run train sets and accessories, and there is tinplate listed with pictures.  It costs $2.00.

We also found out that MTH was just there this past Saturday.  Very upset I missed it.  The tinplate sets are very impressive!  I've been waiting for the next Cleveland show, or the one in Medina to search out an old set.  All this tinplate talk on the forums has me inspired.

Not sure this will help you, but it does show they exists.

I've downloaded them from the MTH website as I've never seen them locally.
