Color of WBB NYC F3
Posted by dmestan on Sunday, August 21, 2011 9:47 PM

I purchsed a WBB NYC F3 ABA set to pull my older Williams 15" NYC passenger cars and I'm disappointed in the color match.  The F3s look more like charcoal than gray.  Can anyone comment on this?  Does the color of new WBB passenger cars more closely match the F3s?  Or maybe I should try Lionel CC F3s ?

thx, Don

not sure about the F-3's or the even maybe new NYC Passenger cars but I recently gotten an PB-1 to go with my Lionel PA-1 and the PB does look like almost Black now if I'm correct NYC actually used light Grey and also at one point almost a black with the lighter stripe lighten stripe so both could actually be correct. My disappointment recently is I got some MTH rail post office car and combo car both about 18" long but they were almost an Brunswick green/dark olive green
