Bow  THAT IS SOOO COOL!!!!!  Bow

Hey CTT staff, how about doing a 3D issue!?!?!

Becky

Becky, I hope they don't do it...for selfish reasons.  I am legally blind in one eye and can't see 3D.  To me, it looks very similar to what you see in the first 3 photos, but blurry.  It also gives me a head ache.  Even some of the new movies that are shot in 3D where you don't need the special glasses hurt my eye and give me the head ache.  But, I know many folks like the effect, so if they do an issue, I just will not look at the images.

Neat! One of my main hobbies has been shooting and collecting stereo/3-D photography. I use the old Stereo Realist camera as well as taking side-by-side shots with a 35mm slide film camera. I assume you took these photos with a Digital 3-D camera?

You can view the side-by-side photos by the "freeview" method. Just stare at the image allowing your eyes to relax. You will beigin to see 3 images...the center one will be in 3-D. It may take a while the first time, but it's like learning to ride a bike...once you do it, you are set for life.

Looking past the screen is another way to put it.  I try to focus on the wall behind my monitor while I keep my eyes 14 to 16 inches from the screen.  If you have Windows media player, you can practice by using the "visualizations" while you play some music.  If you do it right it will be in 3D too and is verry trippy to use an old saying!  Laugh

Way cool..all we need is smell-o-vision for the smoke pellet odor. Outside of virtual reality, this looks like a great layout worthy of a video..have any?

Nothing is more fairly distributed than common sense: no one thinks he needs more of it than he already has.

If you plan to do cross eyed 3D viewing you might need to reverse the positions of the two images.

The majority of people who "freeview" find the cross-eyed method uncomfortable. However, some can only do it cross-eyed. You cannot view the antique stereoview cards cross-eyed.

Here's something different, 3D photos of my Lionel Postwar Layout.  If you have Red/Blue(Cyan) 3D glasses, then take a look at the first 3 photos.  If you have a side by side stereo viewer, then take a look at the last 3 photos.
