I've found that wobbling is almost always caused by a wheel that has its hole for the axle drilled off-center. It can also be caused by a bent axle.

Power the unit upside-down and watch the wheels. If you see any back and forth motion with any of the wheels, that's where your problem is.

That's an unusual condition for a 2383, run it slow at eye level and look for the wobble. It's a place to start.

My 2383 power unit has the tendency to  wobble down the track. It seems the ground springs are still in good shape. Has anyone ever had this condition, and if so, how was it repaired.

Thanks,

Jim C
