The Latest Lionel Catalog
Posted by Seayakbill on Thursday, August 11, 2011 4:56 AM

The latest Lionel Catalog is now available for drooling on the Lionel web site. The vision locomotive for this catalog is the Centepede in 4 paint variations. At $2,200 a pop, a new bar is set for expensive diesels. I have seen the MTH Centepedes on 072, in my opinion you need a radius larger than 072.

I didn't see the I.C. GP-30. Have they decided not to build it afterall?

The new Norfolk Southern O Gauge train set has very appealing decorations.

They even show a new extended top for the old 4-bay hopper.

Andrew, the green & black color combination was used on a experimental NS battery operated GP-38. It has 1080 twelve volt rechargable batteries that last about one day before recharging is needed. The GP-38 was rebuilt from a former Penn Central GP-38. Lionel's rendition looks pretty good but they got the locomotive number wrong, should be #999 unless there are more than one.
