Just received a notice about an upcoming show. "Great Train Expo' to be held this weekend in Orlando, Fl. Has anyone ever attended this show OR have they ever heard of it? Just wondering if it would be worth the trip and the price of admission. As always, many thanks.
Part of a group of three major train shows that move from city to city each week.
"The Great Train Expo", "GreenbergTrain Shows", and the "Great Midwest Train Show Chicago". They advertise 200 to 500 tables plus operating layouts (about 1/3 the size of the TCA York PA Shows) and list 15 shows from FLA to Calf. by the end of the year.

Thanks Don. Might give it a try.
I just went to the one (Great Train Expo) here at Los Angeles County Fairgrounds two weeks ago. It was really nice with lots of modular/club layouts operating and a nice mix of various gauges for sale. I was very pleased with it overall and had a swell time.
My wife and I attended the Great Train Expo in Columbus. Her comment, "It is so clean and neat compared to other train shows."

Well worth the price of admission even if you don't buy anything.

Trains, trains, wonderful trains. The more you get, the more you toot!
Went to one in Kansas City a couple of years back. That one had a good selection of O gage stuff, including a Lionel display and a MTH display. O, HO and G operating layouts too.
THANKS to all.
The GT expo in Orlando is just about the only large show left in Florida. I go every year to restock my T shirts, and pick up what ever I see that fits into my layout themes. most dealers have good prices, and it's normally well attended. It's a 3 1/2 hr drive each way, but it's only once a year, so I make the trip. May not go this time, as there may be a hurricane in the mix for saturday. will have to wait until friday night to see which way it goes--
