Cool off with my Christmas Layout videos
Posted by dsmith on Friday, July 22, 2011 3:35 PM

Since much of the country is sweltering in the heat this summer, I thought I would post some videos of my train layouts under the Christmas tree from the past three years.  It's not too early to start thinking about how to arrange those trains again this year.  I start putting up the tree and layout around Thanksgiving and take it all down in mid January.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Thanks David.

David,

No matter how many times I watch your Christmas layout videos I never grow tired of them.  It makes me think of the Christmases when I was a boy, laying on the floor of my parents home in Chicago and watching our trains run through the Christmas wonderland that my dad and I would build together.  It also makes me think of visiting friends at the holidays and being excited to go into their living rooms to see their tree, and most importantly to see what kind of trains they had running around the tree.  Thanks for some great Christmas memories on a sultry day in July.
