Which connector?
Posted by pdxtrains on Sunday, July 10, 2011 2:52 PM

Hi Friends:

I picked up some old accessories yesterday for my Lionel toy table layout. Several have the connector that is a round screw on type.  One post has what looks like an insulated washer and one does not.  I'm powering them using the old insulated o27 track trick.  My question is, which is the proper wiring arrangement from the snapon to the accessory?  Does #1(center rail) go to the insulated post and #2 (outer rail) to the uninsulated post, or vice versa?

Many Thanks=======

If it's something with only two terminals, it doesn't really matter.

Yes, it's a crossing gate and an old tin type watchman shack. It works both ways, and only 2 connectors.  Thanks!
