A Very Enjoyable Website of A Marx Layout
Posted by wallyworld on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 6:06 PM

I stumbled upon this layout website and it features the colorful  Marx Marline products on a layout by Jerry Custer, that is very well done. Something different. I have not seen many web sites dedicated to Marx layouts..Yes, my friends at  CTT they do exist...contrary to rumor.  ( hint, hint) The Seaboard set with green coaches is very cool.

Cool web site. I had a Marx wind up train set when I was seven, and while I am not a Marx collector the look of Marx trains brings back fond memories of the 50's.   Thanks for the link!

Terrific web site, lot of great pictures. I always liked the Marx Western Pacific E-7 in the gray & yellow.

Regarding that Marx GP-7 or 9. When TTOS had large monthly meets and years of Cal Stewart that would have caught my eye. I have never seen one not even once. So I am assuming they must be very rare. Does anyone have any more information on them? I have a lot of smaller 027 size cars and would like a small diesel for them.

Dennis  San Fernando Valley CA.

They are pretty rare.

The HO version of the GP7 goes for about $140-150.00.and even that is rare. I have yet to see the full size for sale anywhere and I am always looking, browsing.
