You could always get a used Nathan air horn . No mistaking there's someone there. Probably a tape loop hooked to a track relay would be the simplest. An old cheapo tape deck would do. I imagine you would need a reversing circuit for the train,..but I would use a bump and go trolley.Unless it's inside, some goofy ill bred kid will ring the bell make a grab and dash on arrival.Might want to put one of those red die packs banks use in it. ..I could see the police report now. Lol
Nothing is more fairly distributed than common sense: no one thinks he needs more of it than he already has.
I thought my french maid outfit was enough...a train too?
Hmmm....how about...take the guts out of a wireless intercom and build one transceiver into one of your cars with the other transceiver inside the house? Just a thought....
Sounds like a fun project.

If I ran a track siding up to the front door would there be a way to install 2 way audio on one of the cars? As in: door bell rings, run train up to end of siding by front door from inside the house, hit a button and talk to them from inside and hear them reply.
