Poor Man's Stool
Posted by FJ and G on Friday, July 30, 2004 6:54 AM
While shopping in Pep Boys for a set of star hex's (never had to use them before until now, when replacing my banged up jeep bumpers), I came across a nice stool. I set my butt down on it and spun around a few times. Felt comfortable so I bought it for $29. No train emblem or picture on the seat cover, just some racing cars. I think it goes by the name of AllTrade.

SInce my layout is fairly high, at least the top shelf (58"), and a stool doesn't take up much space, ought to be a nice addition. It's not complicated to put together but the screws are hard to turn into the nuts, my only complaint. In fact, I stripped the screws & will just get my own to replace them.

That's a great price, I can at least lean against the crawlspace wall, but it would be nice to have something to sit on.

"......star hex's"[%-)]

Do you mean Torx drivers?

Dave, I hope that stool wasn't just a sample![;)][(-D]
