Nice!  There's just something about an unscenicked tube track layout on bare plywood that I find tremendously appealing.  It's kind of "essence of toy train," I guess.

Layout update and progress

Thanks to all of you for all your help to date.

So far the mockup is going well. The 027 trains seem to have no major problems getting into and out of the switching areas with the Marx 034 curves attached to the 027 switches. Have the second loop for the sawmill area set up and the spur for the logging site in place. I have not got the pipe yard set in my mind yet or the petroleum storage yard but that will come. Still going to put in more 042 switches in the main loop pulling out the two 027s and need to think about the elevated loop. But for now. Well I had better stop playing and do ground cover soon.

Kevin.

Pulled out some of my stuff to play with.
