It's not in the 2011 book either.  But there is a 17714 CN in there.  Here is a Grzyboski's listing for a 17706:

However, it is described as Great Northern.  According to the book, this should be a 17710.  Nothing seems to match up.

Can't find that number in the Greenberg's 2010 pocket priceguide for Lionel. That item could have been made to sell at Target stores, I have a few items that are not in the Greenberg's book also and were bought at Target store.

If the item is in a Lionel box and the numbers match the boxlid, there is a very strong chance the item isn't cataloged for some reason, however it is made by Lionel.

Even some pre-war stuff don't make it to the price guide books, however the stuff has been around for almost 65 years and not in a pricegide?Huh?
