Strictly a matter of personal taste, but to me one layout like this is easily worth a hundred super-size, super-detailed layouts. It's from a time before toy trains lost their innocence, which is what attracted me to them in the first place.

I can agree with this.  I've done plenty of scale modeling in my day, but it's the charm of postwar toy trains that attracts me.

That was splendid to watch.  I believe he had a similar layout using Lionel FasTrack and modern trains.  It was very well done too.

Great Tinplate layout....the essence of simplicity..music is not too shabby either. Nice match of both..
