American Flyer 1218 steeple cab

Hello,

I have an American Flyer 1218 steeple cab.My problem is I can't get it to stop sparking, the sparking on the contact rollers looks similar to looking at the brushes in the motor as it spins!I have cleaned the rollers and wheels and my track is also clean,I also used a little rail zip on the contact rollers.I use Lifelike blue track cleaner to clean all my locos and track.Does anyone have any thoughts on this?Sure would appreciate any info as I don't want my center rail to become pitted.

Thank you!

Johnny

Johnny - Sorry, I can't help you with this problem. Since I have some 1920's American Flyer Engines (without this problem though) I'm hoping someone else will read this and help you out. So I'm bringing this back to the top.

Good luck.
