Now that Model Engineering Works has folded, all my prewar business goes to George Tebolt.

Joe Mania does pre-war repairs and restorations. He may be of help. I think Smittys in Kentucky has parts too. The Motor Doctor can rewind and repair pre-war.

Train Tender is a great resource.

Depending on the parts needed, you have to realize that there were a LOT of carry-over parts that were used well into the postwar/MPC/FunDimensions/LTI/LLC eras.

Anything specific?  There may be a new source of parts that comes along with the formation of The Lionel Corporation line of toy trains.

I highly recommend Jeff Kane of The Train Tender.  He is my first choice for Lionel parts.
