Mine is a 12' x 13' with a open middle.
Currently building my first real layout, starting with a 16'X15' (ho) and a 8'X8' for the Marx. This is a new endeavor for me, very excited and trying to learn all I can from everyone here.
Mine is 12ft by 16ft long.

I think it's about 22 by 12 - just ovals of track and a few sidings atop a rock-filled raised crawlspace, covered with foam board and indoor/outdoor carpet.

12 x 40 ft walk in type...about 140ft of main line
30 inches by 40 inches. It literally hangs on the back of the door when not in use.
My basement layout is "L" shaped - It is 10' x 12' and 5' deep. This is in a corner against a wall, and I'm getting too old and fat to climb on it, so I'm planning to change it to 15' x 6' right up the middle of the room.
My Christmas tree platform is 6'3" x 6'3"
6x16 (original 6x10 with 2 ft bridges connecting to a 6x4 addition)
My temp carpet layout is about 6' x 6'.
24' x 24' 4 levels

I have a 5‘x16’ foot American Flyer cabinet top train layout. I use all AF track with AF roadbed. I have over 200 feet of track with twelve turnouts. In this layout I have a train depot, switch yard, mountain pass etc. I can run up to three trains myself with no problems. I started building this layout three years ago. Hoping to add drop down section on the end. This will give me a extra 5’ x 6’ feet to add a reverse loop.

My layout is 15 x 17 and I go thru a wall on one 17 end into my furnace room for a turn around on the main line. It's an around the wall layout that was added to my 4x8, which became a 5x9. So the original 5x9 acts as an island and everything else goes out from it and returns to it. the layout has 13 remote control switches, and at last count, 200 feet of track. I'm all Lionel standard O and my track is all Fastrack with Legacy control.
Gosh, I don't know how to answer this in a short fashion.
It is a "U" shaped layout with one leg of the U 6'x12', the middle of the U 4' x 18' and the last leg of the U 6'x12' with a 2'x8' "mini yard" tacked on to the end. It has scenery extentions of 1' x 8', 1' x 1', 1.5' x 2' and 0.5'x0.5' off of various parts of the layout when I came across a structure I "could not live without" after the layout was "finished"
It has a long section of elevated track across the middle leg of the U that is fully interconnected and some scenery built below track level, so is that 3 levels or is it one level with some track that is elevated and some scenery below grade?
Sorry, that's as short as I can explain it.

Hi! I'd like to know what the average size of your layouts are. Excluding "club layouts" which tend to be larger, what size is your layout and how many levels do you have? Short answer: Example 4' x 8' one
As always, many thanks.
