Yep, the weights make a great antenna!! This allows the shell to be interchanged without any hitches.

As First to Deliver Production Units of a BEEP w/ TMCC, you can bet I have a sound system coming soon as well [:0][:0][:0]

Guys, TAS has a beep TMCC board that will be available at OCT York. The prototype was shown to Jim Barrett and Ed Boyle at the Edison K-line fall fair days early this year. It runs very smooth. And Yes we are working on a miniature sound system for it. Stay Tuned !!!!!

PS you cannot remove the weights, it's needed for traction. It's also used for another purpose[:D]

They work great, selling faster than I can make them....

I kinda doubt it can operate without the weights, traction issue. Maybe the additional railsounds/smoke components could add the needed weight, not certain. Anyways, it is going to be a very creative install to add all that, and certainly no "off the shelf" solution exists that I am aware of.

However, I am looking for a small audio board that makes a "beep" sound! Anyone know of one?

Do you think that Ready Made Toys would or could make and sell them that way for that much? It would really be a neat affordable engine with all of the new technology in it as well. I hope they would also keep the stripped down ones too as a choice.

Using Carl Tuveson's (www.tuveson.com) DC MDB TMCC board($25 plus a $30 R2LC), one can easily add TMCC to a BEEP, as originally written by Jim Battaglia of the OGR and AOL boards. Jim also came up with a way of adding coil couplers to the engine.

With the removal of the weights in the center of the frame, I figure that it might be possible to shoehorn Railsounds and smoke into the engine. It would definitely be tight, but I think that it can be done.

While surfing thru E-bay the other nite I saw a listing for a B&O Beep with TMCC, talk about a surprise. I was almost tempted to bid but decided against it. It must have sold pretty quick, the listing was gone the next morning.
Anyone else see it ?
